This is my first time attending Louisiana USA which I was excited and curious about them because I have heard so much about Louisiana USA. Louisiana is one of most competitive states for Miss USA and Miss Teen USA. RPM production is getting there to the same level of California, New York and Texas.
One of the many reasons why I decided to go to Louisiana. 1) I love southern hospitality 2) Of course, to support my girl, Christina Famularo 3) People in the deep south are truly amazing.
I attended the preliminary show and I loved the layout that they did because I was in North Carolina two weekends before Louisiana. I find it very elegant, charming, expensive looking stage, and feel christmasy.
I couldn’t really do prediction of top 18 because ALL girls were stunning. Each of them have their own unique looking with their wardrobes. Nothing can go wrong with any of wardrobes they had.
One special thing about RPM is that they allow girls to have their choices as for opening number – It can be anything from short to long when I see other pageants that have cocktail dresses as opening number with black and red as specific.
On the stage, I fell in love with Ashlyn Landford, Jazzland. She is gorgeous and a very fresh breathtaking on the stage. I told myself, this girl is in my top 2 for the title as Miss Louisiana Teen USA . Mark my word, Ashlyn will be on the stage as Miss Teen USA or Miss USA or any national pageants. I also fell in love with Katherine Haik, she is tall and has that model-esqy looking on the stage. To my astonishment that she was only 14 or 15. She look very mature on the stage. I also loved Red Stick Teen (Katie), Florida Parishes (Chelsea) and Zydeco (Chloe). I was surprised that Chloe Burkett didn’t go that far – She is gorgeous on the stage. I am hoping Chloe will come back on the stage.
After the preliminary, I had a chance to see Christina and meet her family. I also loved Hilary Tuttle and had a chance to meet her family. All Louisiana girls with their families were awesome and loved their warm greetings from them. I had a honor to meet Malialyah who is gorgeous. She was a darling and came up and talked to me. I loved watching her on the stage as Miss Lake Charles. She was in my top 5 prediction, unfortunately it didn’t happen.
Only thing I wished that they would do top 10 than cutting from 18 to 5! But I loved the fact that they gave girls to show swimming suits and evening gowns (when the girls were picked as top 5 to walk on the runaway). But their production is magnificent and cut to the chase to make the program finish on the time (2 hours than other pageant that I have gone to did 4 hours— a few years ago and I couldn’t believe how long it went!)
Candice was someone that people often didn’t talk about her, but I watched her closely and knew she will go to top 5 after the preliminary. I was honored to take a picture with Candice, Miss Louisiana USA 2015 on the stage. She is gorgeous and she will do very well at Miss USA 2015. She’s one of the girls that we should be watching for Miss USA 2015.
To my girl, Christina Famularo – you made me so proud of you when you rocked on the stage. PageantRocks is honored to have you part of PageantRocks Girls of 2015.
Overall, I was impressed with the whole show. I wanted to say special thanks to Jonathan Carter for a great opportunity that I would never forget. I also wanted to say a great pleasure to meet Paula Miles, the director for Louisiana, Alabama, South and North Carolina – People I spoken about Paula spoken highly of her. I can see why they spoken highly of her – she’s a darling. I look forward to see Paula again at RPM pageants. I am planning on going to South Carolina and Alabama one day.
