This trip to California USA is extra special because I have been in touch with a few girls for a few years, Coco Hunter, Natasha Martinez, Jena Michelle Cecil, and Amanda Delgado. I have heard a few names that I have always want to see them in person. They all are gorgeous in person. I also know in person, Gabriella Deyi and Athenna Crosby from Miss Greater Bay Area when I judged them in that pageant. Continue reading
Every year I always look forward to watch Miss Universe on television. One day, I would want to attend Miss Universe in person. This year it is in Miami. Miami is one of my home that I come often – so it wouldn’t that special for me because I have always think its magical to attend Miss Universe in another country. That’s one of my dreams and I know I will make it to one of those someday.
This year is FIERCE! I can’t make up my mind about who will capture the crown. I think it can be anyone at this moment. However, latina girls have been dominating for years – it started strong from year 2007 runs to 2011 with only one break in between which the crown went to Angola. I was happy that Angola won because she’s gorgeous and a sweetheart in person when I met her. Then it went back to 2013. So I am wondering if there will be another one this year. Continue reading
I can’t believe that its my 4th year to come to Miss PA USA. My girl, Alex Taylor Deitz competed in Teen division for last 3 years and ended up as 1st runner up in 2012, 2013, and 2014. First time, I came out to PA USA as Miss division, Alex Taylor’s first year. I am so proud of her placing in top 15, but was disappointed that she didn’t go that far. However, the competition is very competitive. There are many strong girls this year. I only have top 8, not even top 5 because all of them had a very good chance to get in top 5. We all never know who will make it in top 5. Its all up to the judges decision.
I arrived a few days before the preliminary and final to spend some time with my friends and their newborn baby boy. I also had a short time from my hectic schedule to come down to Morgantown, West Virginia to see Shanon, Brittany, Deb and two other ladies. I loved Morgantown. Continue reading
This year is a little different because its a bittersweet after attending West Virginia USA 3 years in a row hoping Charisse Haislop win as Miss West Virginia. She did as Miss West Virginia USA 2014. I am back to see her giving up her crown to Miss West Virginia 2015. She did an amazing job, and I am so proud of her. Miss West Virginia USA 2015 would have a big shoe to fill in after Charisse.
This year was great to attend the show without being nervous wreck or having my girls compete for the title as Miss West Virginia and Miss West Virginia Teen USA. It was more of mingling with old friends and making new friends.
As for Teen, I fell in love with Cora King who is currently Miss West Virginia Teen USA 2015 after meeting her at preliminary night. I had a chance to meet new girls: Cora King, Morgan Smith, and Katie Riedel. Continue reading
This is my first time attending Louisiana USA which I was excited and curious about them because I have heard so much about Louisiana USA. Louisiana is one of most competitive states for Miss USA and Miss Teen USA. RPM production is getting there to the same level of California, New York and Texas.
One of the many reasons why I decided to go to Louisiana. 1) I love southern hospitality 2) Of course, to support my girl, Christina Famularo 3) People in the deep south are truly amazing.
I attended the preliminary show and I loved the layout that they did because I was in North Carolina two weekends before Louisiana. I find it very elegant, charming, expensive looking stage, and feel christmasy. Continue reading
North Carolina is one of most competitive states I have ever gone other than California and Nevada is getting there. I have always knew that Texas and New York always are competitive, but for the last few years I have been watching RPM and Greenwoods – they are becoming more competitive and never know who will win the crowns.
It was my first time to actually explore North Carolina. First stop I had to go is to Asheville. I have heard so much about it. I fell in love with Asheville and the mountains. I was so excited to be able to go to North Carolina USA because one of Pageantrocks girls of 2015 competed. I knew my girl will be in top five because she has the best team, Pageantrocks, Pageantsmart, and The Pageant Spotlight. She was well prepared this year. Continue reading
Usually I do this to recognize the girls who didn’t make in semi-finals at Miss Teen USA. I do top 6 for Miss PageantRocks Teen USA and Miss PageantRocks USA, but this year for Teen USA, I had to get two girls who deserved to be in top 5 at national but they were in top 15, so I had to do this. I also decided to add honorable. Continue reading
First of all, I apologize for not getting back to you guys sooner about my thoughts. I have decided not to do prediction this year because I do believe that everyone is winner in their own eyes. A few of them made in top 15, which I wasn’t surprised, but of course, there are always surprises. I am so happy that they were able to show all of the 15 girls in their swimming suits and evening gowns. I saw many beautiful evening gowns. But there are some girls that need to work on the stage presences and do wowing the audience. Miss Florida got me impressed and I immediately said to myself, Lissette Garcia must have worked with her. I have seen a few girls that I would like to see them compete for Miss USA someday. I get feeling one of them will win Miss USA someday. Continue reading
I know I am so late with this article. Miss Mississippi Pageant and Kim Greenwood deserve this from Pageantrocks to talk about this experience.
It was the first time that Pageantrocks attended the “deep southern” state. I have to admit that I was scared to attend the south pageant. I was surprised about how wonderful southern people were to me. They were so good to me. I arrived in Mississippi in time for preliminary and final before I jet off to Mexico. I flew to watch one of my girls that I worked with for the Class of 2014. I was and am still so proud of Rebecca Mathis, who placed in top 15. Continue reading
Some of you know who she is, and some of you don’t know. She was a former Miss Venezuela Universe 2005 who competed at Miss Universe 2005 in Thailand when Natalie Glebova from Canada won. Monica was 4th runner up to Miss Universe 2005 Chelsea Cooley-Altman, Miss USA 2005 was a close friend of Monica. When I learned about the story, my heart went for Chelsea and Monica and her family.
PageantRocks had a chance to talk to Chelsea and asked her this one simple question: Could you tell briefly about how your relationship with Monica at Miss Universe and after Miss Universe 2005? Continue reading
